When I Started Thinking Bigger

More than 15 years ago, I was a stay-at-home mother to our four children all under the age of five years old! It was a very busy lifestyle but I was missing using my professional experience as a physical therapist. Throughout the day and during the night, I would think of many ideas of how I could juggle motherhood and my profession.

One idea I had was to start a marketplace website for therapy equipment. My website was born and I started writing articles and providing information. Not much was happening but I was enjoying the challenge and it was different than the day to day tasks of motherhood.

I knew I had to start thinking bigger in order to start making a profit. I had seen others making money online and knew I could do the same. One day I started creating digital forms and activity packets and the rest is history! The website took off and has been profitable ever since.

One of the keys to my success was always thinking bigger, sticking with my goals, and realizing I could succeed. If you are struggling with your job, looking for a change or know can offer others help, start changing your mindset and taking action.

Maybe you are a teacher looking to reduce stress in your life and add to your income. Perhaps you are a student just starting your professional career. Wherever you are on your journey, you can start thinking bigger and make changes to your lifestyle and your bank account!

Scarcity Mindset vs Abundance Mindset

What do you have? A scarcity mindset or an abundance mindset? A scarcity mindset is characterized by a belief that there is never enough – not enough resources, opportunities or success to go around. This kind of thinking leads to fear-based decisions and actions that limit growth.

Scarcity mentality often originates from past experiences where resources were indeed scarce or limited. For instance, during childhood when one may have faced financial challenges or lived in a family where opportunities were scarce. As a result of those experiences, people tend to believe that they must fight for every opportunity that comes their way because they will never get another chance again.

In contrast, an abundance mindset is characterized by a belief that there are plenty of resources and opportunities available. Those who adopt an abundance mentality are open-minded and willing to take risks because they believe that success is possible for everyone.

An abundance mentality helps people develop confidence in their abilities because they see themselves as being capable of achieving anything they set their minds on. They also view other people as collaborators rather than competitors because they know that together everyone can achieve great things.

Limiting Beliefs and Professional Growth

Limiting beliefs are negative thoughts or attitudes that hold us back from reaching our full potential. Common limiting beliefs among professionals include “I’m not good enough,” “I don’t have enough experience,” or “I’m too old/young.” These beliefs create self-doubt and prevent individuals from taking action toward their goals.

To overcome limiting beliefs, it’s important to identify them first. Once identified, challenge these beliefs with positive self-talk such as “I am capable,” “I have valuable skills,” or “I am worthy of success.” Remember that no one is perfect and everyone has room for growth.

Another effective way of overcoming limiting beliefs is through visualization techniques such as imagining yourself succeeding at your goals. Visualization helps reprogram the mind by creating new neural pathways which help reinforce positive thoughts and behaviors.

Maximize Your Professional Experience to Start Thinking Bigger

To maximize your professional experience, start by identifying your skill set. What are you good at? What unique knowledge do you possess? Thinking big about how you can help others with your knowledge will open up new possibilities for growth.

Networking with other professionals in your field is also essential. Building relationships with like-minded individuals can lead to new opportunities such as collaborations or partnerships.

Creating passive income streams through ebooks, printables or courses is another effective way to maximize your professional experience. By sharing your expertise with others through digital products or services, you can earn money while helping others achieve their goals.

When it comes to digital content creation, think about what people need help with most in relation to your area of expertise then create content around those topics. You could create e-books on various topics within your niche; printable workbooks on specific subjects; courses on different aspects of what you do; worksheets on specific tasks within what you do, etc. Anything you can think of can be sold in a digital format.

Mindset Shift to an Abundance Mentality

Shifting from a scarcity mindset to an abundance mentality takes practice but it’s worth it! Start by focusing on what you do have rather than what you lack – celebrate small successes along the way towards larger goals!

Positive thinking has been proven to increase productivity and overall well-being so when adopting an abundance mentality focus on solutions rather than problems – this shift in perspective will lead individuals towards prosperity both personally and professionally!

Another technique for developing an abundant mindset includes gratitude; focusing daily on all the things one has accomplished in life so far (no matter how small) helps individuals appreciate all the blessings already received!
